Bill O'Toole

Bill joined Connolly Suthers in 1979 as an articled clerk and became a Partner in 1990. He is a graduate of the Queensland Institute of Technology. He was admitted to practise as a Solicitor in Queensland in 1985, and now has over 35 years of rich and varied experience in many areas of law.
Bill has extensive experience in all forms of civil and criminal litigation. He has practised in the areas of Employment Law, Guardianship and Administration tribunal matters. Bill enjoys representing clients from all walks of life.
He has a wealth of knowledge in relation to the conduct of insurance litigation claims.
He has for many years been practising in the area of criminal law. He has advised clients in relation to Crime and Corruption Commission investigations. He has had extensive experience in relation to professional misconduct investigations, Workplace Health & Safety and Maritime investigations and prosecutions.
Bill has strong advocacy and negotiation skills and is experienced in representing clients in Courts and regulatory or disciplinary Tribunals. Bill is very capably supported in his practice by his assistants Jackie Gaeta and Courtney Heuir.
In his earlier years as a Practitioner, he was a Law Lecturer at the Barrier Reef Institute of TAFE.
Whilst continuing his practise as a Solicitor he has also undertaken further studies leading to him completing a Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning) and the Advanced Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning). His most recent studies have seen him complete a course in relation to Self-Managed Superannuation Funds.
