Lloyd Kennedy

Lloyd joined Connolly Suthers in December 2024 as a graduate law clerk after completing his Bachelor of Laws (with Distinction) at James Cook University. A proud local, Lloyd was born and raised in Townsville and attended Ignatius Park College.

Lloyd is currently completing his Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice with the College of Law and is looking forward to being admitted as a solicitor in the coming months. He works closely with Senior Associate Mathai Joshi and Senior Solicitor Patrick Staunton in the firm’s criminal law department under the guidance of Partner Bill O’Toole, and also assists in commercial litigation matters under the guidance of Partner Bradley Searston.

Prior to joining Connolly Suthers, Lloyd worked at another criminal law firm in Townsville throughout his university studies, gaining invaluable practical experience.

Lloyd has a strong passion for criminal law and is committed to helping clients navigate the complexities of the criminal justice system. His work includes assisting clients with criminal law, traffic law, and domestic violence matters. He is excited to continue developing his expertise and building his career in the law.
