Owen Tongue
Solicitor
Owen joined Connolly Suthers in June 2022 as a Trainee Lawyer after graduating from James Cook University with a Bachelor of Laws and was admitted as a Lawyer of the Supreme Court of Queensland later that year.
Owen practices within the firm’s Property, Planning & Employment Law Department and works closely with Partners
Brad Skinner & Brendan Gaeta. He has experience advising on many areas of property and related matters, including
commercial and retail leasing, rural and commercial property transactions, and town planning and development law.
Leveraging his keen interest in the area of real property law, Owen's current practice largely involves assisting to advise
developers in community titles scheme and master planned greenfield development projects. Recently, he has gained
experience advising landowners in relation to the negotiation of land access agreements, option, and lease documents
with renewable energy companies
