Michael Pannach

Michael Pannach is a Queensland litigation lawyer with 25 years’ experience at Connolly Suthers, acting predominantly for individuals and families in complex compensation and insurance disputes.

He commenced with the firm in 2001, completed his articles there, and was admitted as a solicitor in 2003. He has been a Partner since 2010.

Michael leads a large and established personal injury practice with a focus on high-value and complex claims. His work centres on WorkCover, traffic accident and medical negligence matters, as well as dependency, dust disease, and public liability claims.

He specialises in serious and catastrophic injury cases, including those involving brain injury, spinal cord injury, amputation, and significant psychiatric injury. He has achieved numerous multi-million dollar settlements and is experienced in managing the legal, medical and financial complexities of these claims. He is also one of the few solicitors in North Queensland conducting complex medical negligence claims.

Michael regularly conducts matters through compulsory conferences, mediations, and trials, and has appeared in the Supreme Court of Queensland and the Queensland Court of Appeal.

Based in North Queensland, Michael works across Townsville and Cairns and represents clients throughout all of Queensland. He is known for pragmatic, outcome-focused advice and for progressing claims with a clear strategy from early stage through to resolution.
