Owen Tongue
Senior Solicitor
Owen joined Connolly Suthers in June 2022 as a Trainee Lawyer after completing his Bachelor of Laws at James Cook University and was admitted as a Lawyer of the Supreme Court of Queensland later that year.
Owen is an experienced legal practitioner and works in the firms Property and Planning department to provide strategic and commercially realistic advice to developers undertaking projects across the state, ranging from small local subdivisions to master planned community estates and mixed-use tower developments.
He also practises in Planning & Environment Law and has demonstrated experience in advising and undertaking a range of town planning, enforcement, regulatory, and land resumption and compensation matters in the Planning & Environment and Land Courts.
Owen returned to Connolly Suthers in November 2025 after working in a specialist planning & environment practice at a national firm and Legal Counsel on Queensland’s largest transport infrastructure project.
