Commercial Litigator

William is a commercial litigator with significant experience in complex commercial, property and planning disputes. He was admitted as a solicitor in September 2015 and joined Connolly Suthers in March 2026.

William assists clients with a broad range of matters including contract disputes, debt recovery, building disputes, property-based litigation, shareholder/partnership disputes and causes of action in defamation. He regularly conducts litigation in all state and federal courts and is known for providing practical commercially focused advice and clear recommendations to assist clients achieving efficient and cost-effective outcomes.

William has acted for many of the large property developers in North Queensland and advises landowners on a broad range of property related matters – from compliance with the Land Sales Act and drafting easement documents, through to negotiating infrastructure agreements and the conduct of appeals in the Planning & Environment Court. Outside of the firm, William is actively involved in the property development industry, serving as a committee member of the Urban Development Institute of Australia (Townsville branch), where he contributes to the representation of property development issues at both local and state government levels.
